Daily Goods: Bits of the Good Life

Posting a few bits of the Good Life from today on my lunch break from work.

  • This month's Southern Living, which I read on the metro this morning, has a great article on setting the Southern table.

  • Today is Election Day and the New York Times published a debate regarding voting practices that makes me grateful to live in a country where we can freely have these discussions.

  • Today in 1977, Harvy Milk became the first openly gay man elected to office in California. Thank you, Mr. Milk, for helping pave the way for all people to enjoy the Good Life.

  • Coco sent a pictures of her garden roses in her mothers' and grandmother's vases. Nothing better than fresh blooms.

  • Started the morning with a fresh bagel from my favorite neighborhood place: Bagels Etc. in Dupont. The folks at Bagels Etc have been delivering great bagels for 23 years. If you are in the area (22nd and P St. NW), you should treat yourself to a bit of goodness.
